Eagle Nuclear Added to Solactive Global Uranium Index

Eagle Nuclear Energy has reached a significant milestone after being added to the Solactive Global Uranium and Nuclear Components Total Return Index. This move follows a semi annual rebalancing process and effectively qualifies the developer for inclusion in the Global X Uranium ETF, a fund managing roughly five billion dollars. By joining an index that monitors everything from mining and exploration to enrichment and new nuclear technologies, Eagle Nuclear positions itself within a broader framework of institutional visibility during a period of renewed interest in carbon free energy.

Central to this growth is the company’s control of the Aurora deposit located in southeastern Oregon. With nearly thirty three million pounds of indicated uranium resources, the site stands as the largest conventional measured and indicated uranium deposit in the United States. Eagle is not merely looking to extract raw materials but intends to use the Aurora asset as a cornerstone for integrating domestic resources with advanced small modular reactor technology, aiming for a more self sufficient national energy infrastructure.

To push these ambitions forward, the company has partnered with Harris Exploration Drilling and Associates for an extensive drilling campaign on the Oregon Nevada border. The current program involves forty seven holes totaling twenty seven thousand feet of drilling, which began in July. These efforts are designed to provide the necessary data to transition the project toward a comprehensive prefeasibility study expected by the second half of 2027.

While Eagle expands its footprint, other players in the sector are pursuing innovative ways to secure fuel supplies. IsoEnergy recently teamed up with DISA Technologies to form DISA Uranium Corporation, combining several permitted mines in Utah with specialized high pressure slurry ablation technology. This mechanical separation method allows for higher mineral concentration without relying on traditional chemicals, potentially unlocking vast amounts of uranium already present in legacy mine waste piles throughout the American West.
